Join us for the 2026 Global Christian Kitesurfers Event in stunning Kappalady, Sri Lanka, where wind, waves, and worship come together!
This isn’t just another kite event — it’s a calling to step out of in faith on and off the water through our four pillars: Connect, Engage, Disciple, and Serve.

Connect
Meet passionate kitesurfers from around the world who share a love for wind and Jesus. Build authentic friendships that go beyond sport — rooted in faith, joy, and community. We will be intentional in connecting / mingling with other kitesurfers and instructors in the greater Kalpitiya area and its kite spots through various means. Beach Video Interviews, kite & chai, chatting to kitesurfers, inviting them to activities as downwinders, bon fires, etc.

Engage
By organizing such activities for kitesurfers and wingfoilers, we will step into meaningful conversations and shared experiences on the beach and in the lagoon. As we kite, chat and laugh together, we open doors to those who haven’t yet met Christ, inviting them to experience His love firsthand.

Disciple
We will deepen your walk with Jesus through worship sessions, testimonies, and guided inputs, designed to strengthen and equip our and other lives and ministries — both on the board and beyond.

Serve
Give back to the local community and the kitesurfing scene in Sri Lanka. Through acts of love and service, we demonstrate the heart of the Gospel — not just in words, but in action. We will possibly organize and host a fun kite competition in collaboration with Kitecenter Sri Lanka.

Kitespot – Kappalady Beach & Lagoon, Sri Lanka

Join us at the breathtaking and dynamic kite spot of Kappalady Beach & Lagoon, nestled on Sri Lanka’s northwest coast. Situated on a 30km sandy peninsula, this region offers an array of kite spots, island adventures, and kite safaris, all surrounded by an authentic, rural beach lifestyle. Our base will be right at the heart of the action, where flat water lagoons meet thrilling waves on the reef just in front of the kite center.

Accommodation – Elements Beach & Nature Resort

Accommodation is at the serene Elements Beach & Nature Resort in Kappalady, at the beach in front of an authentic fishing village where we will also engage in meaningful service within the local community.

Eat & Drink

There will be an option to self cater. those who opt can get together, shop and prepare in a simple common kitchen which is designated to the CK event participants. There is also Reelif Beach Club & Cafe where you may eat as, if and when you wish.

Kite-, Wing courses and gear

Kitecenter Sri Lanka offers lessons, gear storage (6 EUR per day) & rental. Pricelist for lessons, supervision, rental etc. you find on the website. Cost for kite safaris will be split amongst heads. We split what we pay 🙂

Flight and transfer

Book your own flight to Colombo (Katunayake) international airport, approximately a 2.5 hrs drive to Kappalady / Elements Resort. Transfer can be organized from the hotel, however the cheapest is to book an Uber or PickMe cab at the airport and share it with someone. We will publish a Google sheet with participants arrival details, so that you can share airport transfers if desired.

Cheapest way is by bus and tuc tuc, however this is a bit of an adventure and only recommended to experienced Asia travellers 🙂 Join the Event Whatsapp Group to connect with other participants and arrange things directly.
