In 2022, Christian Kitesurfers from around the globe gathered in Sri Lanka for the inaugural “Global Launch Event,” blending kitesurfing, fellowship, prayer, and service to the local community. In 2023, we met in Naxos, Greece, and in 2024, we experienced an unforgettable week at Seahorse Bay, Egypt. These gatherings combined powerful times of worship, study, prayer, and amazing kiting.

2025 Kitespot – Viana do Castelo, Portugal
Join us for the fourth annual Global Gathering in one of Europe’s top kitesurfing destinations! With consistent winds, options for flat water and waves, and vibrant local culture, Viana do Castelo offers something for everyone—from beginners seeking lessons to advanced riders chasing adventure.
We’ll stay in homes just 500 meters from the kite spot, creating a close-knit community. Beyond the kiting, everyone is encouraged to contribute—whether hosting prayer, sharing a testimony, organizing meals, teaching kitesurfing, or leading a downwinder.

Primary Accommodation – Portugal Active Cabedelo Beach Lodge | Heated Pool.
We have reserved Portugal Active Cabedelo Beach Lodge as the primary accommodation. It will serve as the ‘base’ for meetings throughout the week. It’s a large home with a heated pool and a ping pong table and can handle up to 14 guests. With seven spacious bedrooms, two inviting living rooms, a generously sized office, and five full bathrooms, there’s room for everyone to relax and unwind. Eleven cozy beds, including three king-size and eight singles. It has lots of space for us to meet and share meals together. We will add other homes in the area as this one fills up or you can find your own in the area and just connect with us for meetings and kitesurfing.
www.portugalactive.com is our host and they offer a variety of services like transportation from or to the airport, a personal chef or a massage at the house.
Prices per person for 7 nights (accommodation only): €375
Important: Please note that this doesn’t include meals for which we are estimating about €200 per person. This also doesn’t include transfer from the airport.
The cost might increase if not all rooms are booked. If you want a room to yourself, you will need to double the price. If you’re traveling alone and want to share a double room, please note this when booking. We will connect you with another participant.
For any meals that we share, we will divide up the cost for groceries evenly among us with an expense sharing app.

Kitesurf courses and gear
We will be working with Kite Voodoo (Google Map Location) to provide lessons, gear and storage for our gear.
Once we know how many are interested in lessons and rentals we will get back to you with a quote from Kite Voodoo
Flight and transfer
You will want to fly into Porto. Our accomodation is about a 50 minute drive from the airport. Hopefully we will have several people arriving at the same time so we can arrange a bus or van to save on cost.
