In August 2023, Christian Kitesurfers from around the world met for one week at the “Global Event” in Naxos, Greece. The event was incredible! We had wind everyday, blue skies and crystal clear waters, but it was the growth, connection, relationships and God very clearly speaking to us and challenging us that made this time so valuable. We had meetings where the Holy Spirit was so evidently present, that the kiting seemed irrelevant!
Our knowledge grew with some great scriptural teaching, relationships were formed and where virtual strangers became more like (God intended) brothers and sisters. We had people stepping out in new spiritual giftings, people getting new direction in their lives, weary and tired walks refreshed, encouragements and generally everyone feeling inspired, edified and encouraged. Jesus was absolutely the centre, and it showed in everyone’s experience of the week.
If you are considering 2024, but thinking you are not good enough, spiritually or kite skills wise, don’t. Embrace the possibilities, knowing that you’ll receive support from the Christian Kitesurfers community and join us in 2024.

“I went to the CK Camp in Naxos with my wife and sister in law, who both are not Kitesurfers. We all had a great time. Because there were many beginners and kite schools, the girls made sure they found a safe spot on the beach to hang out and swim. My wife has a gluten allergy and all the cooks were so great at accommodating her with that.
Apart from the kitesurfing, I also loved the fellowship and getting to know other christian Kitesurfers. And also our devotional times were great. Before I came, I thought certain themes like ‘identity’ were more geared towards new believers, but fact is, God gave me so much new revelation on these ‘old’ themes. It was a really encouraging time and I made so much progress Kitesurfing!“

“I came to Naxos in probably not the most spiritually awake state. I came, stressed out, overworked and not expecting much from the week. God, thankfully, had other plans!
The kitesurfing was incredible, 20 knots every day and beautiful sunshine, but it was SO much more. The connection to other Christian’s, the way God spoke to us. The way he spoke to me. I felt alive spiritually for the first time in a long time! Jesus was on the water, Jesus was on the beach, Jesus was in the accommodation and Jesus was in us. Even my marriage was blessed, as myself and my wife refocused on our walk with God.“
