In July 2022, Christian Kitesurfers from around the world met for the first time at the “Global Launch Event” in Sri Lanka. We had a wonderful time of prayer, kitesurfing together, fellowship, teaching sessions and serving the local community! Check out the video of 2022 below.
In summer 2023, Christian Kitesurfers will again re-unite. This time on Naxos island, Greece. We are looking forward to epic kite sessions, times of prayer and worship, fellowship, growing in faith and serving. 20th to 26th August evening.
We are excited to connect with followers of Christ who are looking to propagate our ethos ‘Love to Kite, Kite to Love’ around the world. Be prepared to get involved. Everyone who joins the event will be encouraged to contribute to the event in some way. Maybe host a prayer, share a story, organize a dinner, assist with accommodation, teach kitesurfing, organize a downwinder… Will do it all together. Join us at Naxos Island this August. Lets strengthen the body of Christ on the water and at the beach.

Location
The event will take place on the beautiful kitesurfing spot of Mikri Vigla on Naxos island, Greece. Mikri Vigla is known for its steady wind conditions, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views. It offers a wide range of kitesurfing opportunities for both beginners and advanced riders.
The wind is blowing side-on-shore from the north-west and is blowing from 15-25 knots on most days. It is a perfect spot for freeride and freestyle riding and also for learning to kitesurf.
The spot is also surrounded by beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters for swimming and sunbathing, and there are also many bars and taverns nearby to enjoy delicious local food and drinks.
We will be centered around Kitecenter Naxos.
Accommodation
Option #1 – Casa Magnifica
We have reserved Casa Magnifica from 19th to 26th August. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, a nice living room with a built in sofa, 3.5x bathrooms and 6 bedrooms (5 rooms with a Queen bed and 1 room with 2 single beds). Up to 12 people can sleep comfortably. Casa Magnifica has a large and beautiful private garden and an exceptional outdoor area with a big dining table in the shade, outdoor kitchen with extra fridge for cool drinks, a bar/gaming table, two big hang out sofas and a spectacular shared pool and private jacuzzi. Price:
Double room with Queen bed for 7 nights: 998 Euro
The price is per room and not per person. If you share a room with someone else, the price is 499 Euro.
Price is for accommodation only. For food we will either cook together and share the expenses or we will go to the nearby restaurants and taverns.
Option #2 – Other accommodation
We have reserved a few other bungalows, apartments and studios in Mikri Vigla.

Flight and transfer
Everyone is responsible to book their own flight and transfer to Naxos / Mikri Vigla. There are several options how to get to Naxos:
Option #1 – Fly to Mykonos, Santorini or Athen and take the ferry to Naxos
The closest international airports to Naxos are the airports on Mykonos and Santorini island. From there you can take the ferry to Naxos. Another option is to fly to Athen and then take the ferry from there.
Duration ferry Mykonos – Naxos: 40min – 1:45h
Duration ferry Santorini – Naxos: 1:35h – 3:10h
Duration ferry Athen – Naxos: 3:15h – 8:55h
Option #2 – Fly to Athen and from there to Naxos
Naxos has a small airport, called “Apollon” (JNX). There are daily direct flights to JNX from Athen.
